I've been flying since...
autumn 2016 - in my head actually much earlier.
Paragliding means for me...
another step towards being able to experience nature and its elements in an unspeakably intense way. Currents in any form fascinate me. I have loved the wind and the water since I was a child sailing. After diving, I finally found a way to get into the air. I wouldn't want to miss this freedom and the opportunity to change perspective so fundamentally. Both mentally and physically.
My favorite flying area is...
so far the foothills of the Alps from the Zugspitze to Berchtesgaden, the Triglav National Park and all the places I don't know yet.
My most beautiful flying moments/highlights were...
the first flight and the tears of joy when landing, the crossing of the Alps with a paraglider and good company, the gorges and rugged edges in Triglav, multi-day bivouac tours on the edge of the Alps with my best friend, longer flights without vario and every flight with feathered flock company; and the incomparable encounters when hitchhiking back.
My personal greatest successes are...
84km on the main ridge of the Alps, the first Chimsee round with Lhotse, on a day that wasn't supposed to be that good at all, and every launch site found that you've only picked out beforehand from the valley or on the map and hope it works until take-off ????
I fly UP paragliders because...
the Lhotse has been a featherweight companion on every hike & fly, bivouac or in the roughest thermals for a very long time and I've always felt super comfortable under it. Best material ever!
Currently, the models I fly...
Kangri in size S.
What I particularly like about the glider is...
that it is more direct and dynamic, better against the wind, can be handled super well, is stable in the air and is still very light. It's really a lot of fun to see how it just wants to get in the air!
